Good Morning Everyone,
I will not be in class today but you will still have class. You can work on your newsletter which is due on Tuesday January 22. When you complete your newsletter you can work on the organizational sites assignment found below. The organizational sites assignment is due on Thursday January 24 but we will spend time on the organizational sites on Tuesday if you are having problems.
You will need to e-mail me to let me know you are in class.
Organizational Sites
Check out my Diigo site Diigo. Then set up your own
account. Take a few minutes to play with the tool and then right a brief
paragraph describing how you would use it in the classroom. Make sure you add
the site to your table, describe it and rate it.

Third part of your assignment is to find another organizational tool, one that you use or one for the classroom. Come to class on Thursday prepared to share the site with your colleagues. In your presentation show the site and provide two or three uses and one thing that could be improved. Use the comment option in the blog to share the site

ReplyDeleteI found http://www.educationworld.com it is a sight you can get organizing templates from. Very useful in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI found www.kimskorner4teachertalk.com this site is very useful because it has information gathered by teachers not just by Kim. One major improvement would be if it were updated. Seems kind of outdated to me.

About the Resource:
I believe that this site is very organized and easy to use. It is filled with strategies to use in the classroom along with classroom management resources and information. There are discipline guidelines to go by and much more! You can also print the guidelines and discipline pages out and post them in the classroom. I think that the discipline steps are great, it states what kind if punishment a student may receive if they are asked to do or to stop something by the number of times you have asked them. There is also a resource page that is updated monthly, this ensures that there information is up to par and up to date.
